Notes explained

What shared notes can—and cannot—tell you

Read overlap, differences and data gaps without mistaking them for a similarity score.

Perfume Nomad editorial · Reviewed 2026-10-11

Shared names are a starting point

Our comparison highlights names that match through the reviewed alias registry. It is a way to find a note path you might want to explore. It does not measure the quantities, balance or experience of the fragrance.

Listed only here means documented only here

A note shown only for one selected perfume is absent from the other selected records, not necessarily from the other scent. Brand descriptions and source-listed profiles can have different levels of detail. The comparison tells you when review or edition information is missing.

Use stages when the evidence supports them

Opening, heart and dry-down information is useful when documented for the exact edition. If a catalogue has only an unordered list, we do not turn it into a pyramid. Explore Any stage in the finder when you want a broader note search.
